PUFF DRAGON - biography
Steve Good aka Puff dragon relocated to Tokyo in the autumn of 1995 after meeting his Japanese wife in London.
He started working at the studio of a Japanese music production
company, and going to trance & house parties on the weekends. From
thereon the "double dragon" project was born. Releasing his first 12" on London's Phantasm Records in 1999, he went on to write his first album "continuum"
for the same label, still regarded as a classic psychedelic trance
album. After a number of releases on cutting-edge trance labels such as
Spiral Trax and Spirit Zone, the 2nd double dragon "transparent" was released on Germany's Plusquam label in 2003.
Leaving the studio to work as a freelance musician 3 years ago, Steve has been DJing and playing live all over the world. Aside from the "double dragon"
project, Steve also writes music for tv commercials, games and special
events. The last year or so has seen a number of new musical projects,
collaborations with other musicians.
However, the main project that Steve is spending most of his time on lately is "puff dragon",
an ambient, lo-tempo, lounge crossover that utilises phat funky grooves
and huge ambient soundscapes. He is currently working on the first puff
dragon album, due to be completed in the Winter of 2005 under Dakini Records.
