CELTIC CROSS
Dragonfly continues its assault on 1998, with the launch of the LSD - Liquid Sound Design new label from Dragonfly that sees a natural progression for the definitive Psy-Trance label.
Chill out soundscapes have always gone hand and hand in the Trance
scene, mellow grooves providing a back drop to a stunning sunrise or
just as an alternative to the main dance floor mayhem where one can sit
and soak up the magical atmosphere. LSD is
label that will release albums that provide a lush-calming backdrop for
the listener whether it be at home in the chill out room. And to kick
off the label is the much-anticipated Hicksville from Celtic Cross, a mighty collaboration between Youth (Label boss) and Simon Posford (Hallucinogen and general Trance overlord). A steady work in progress that crystallised in the legendary Butterfly studio, where Simon (house engineer) and Youth embarked on a series of sonic experiments, that was to become Hicksville
fusing the ancestral spirit of Celtic traditional music and the sonic
temples of electronic Dub/Trance they created a metamorphic chemical
recipe that transcends item and space. Along the way Saul Davies (violinist), joined in their epic journey to the stars adding his own unique musical experiences and talent.
